Interesting facts
- Vrchlabí (477 m above sea level) is a picturesque foothill town, called the “Gate to the Giant Mountains”. You can visit 2 Giant Mountains museums right in the town (the Stone and Life Museum in the building of the former Augustinian monastery and the Four Houses Museum). A walk through the park of the local castle (currently the seat of the municipal office) is also beautiful. There are plenty of opportunities for shopping or a quiet meal at one of the local restaurants around the adjacent square.
